Tour Description

South Water Caye is perhaps the most idyllic inhabited Caye in all of Belize. Only 14 miles of the coast of Dangriga (a half an hour by boat) this Caye is located in the beautiful South Water Caye Marine Reserve.

This amazing 15 acre coral Island rests right atop the Belizean Barrier Reef, which was declared a World Heritage Site in 1997. The location of this beautiful Island makes it possible to visit the nearby coastal gardens, ten mangrove caye's and two large mangrove ranges that lie within the South Water Caye Marine Reserve.

Next to these visits South Water Caye is also a fantastic place to snorkel. Right off the Southern tip of this Island you will find an amazing place for snorkeling. Besides this wonderful place additional snorkeling at sites such as a variety of patch reef, "the drop off" and several mangrove habitats can easily be arranged.
