BUS

Buses are the cheapest way to travel around inland and more common with budget travellers, and will get you to your destination reliably.

You will also get a first hand look at Belizean culture and their friendly ways. When standing on the side of the road waiting for a ride, or a bus do not worry, buses tend to pass in an hourly manner.

With two choices of rates, regular and express, there’s a big difference, for a few more dollars you can get into an AC bus, relax and enjoy the view

The regular buses stop every few miles, picking people up along side the road. While express buses, go direct to your destination without stopping.

(Buses pass our resort in both directions every hour ).

Car rental

When travelling by land, and if you want to be free to explore as much as possible, renting a vehicle can be a good option. As car rental is quite expensive it is a good idea to club together. We recommend BUDGET rent a car.

If you intend to drive off of the tarmac highways then a 4WD is necessary.Especially in the rainy season.

Taxis

Taxis are available everywhere.Prices are reasonable for short journeys of a few miles or so.A 3 mile journey will cost you approx $3US.

While on the islands, all you need are your bare feet, except when you don’t feel like walking, you can always get a taxi for a cheap rate.Rent a golf cart or bicycle.Safe, and non-polluting,not a bad choice.
